What it does

Before you save a cron job in cPanel or a CI pipeline, confirm when it will actually run. Supports ranges, lists, steps, month and weekday names, and macros such as @daily.

How to use it

  1. Enter the expression, for example */15 9-17 * * MON-FRI.
  2. Read the description.
  3. Check the next five run times.

Example

Runs at 02:30 every Monday. Select Try an example above to see it.

When it helps

  • Scheduling Laravel or cPanel cron jobs.
  • Reviewing CI schedules.
  • Learning cron syntax.

Questions

Are seconds or years supported?

No. This follows standard five field Unix cron. Quartz style six or seven field expressions are rejected.

What if both day of month and day of week are set?

Like Vixie cron, the job runs when either matches.

Which time zone are run times in?

Your device time zone. Servers often run cron in UTC, so check your host’s setting.
