What it does
Reference rates are published by the European Central Bank once per working day around 16:00 CET. They are mid market rates; banks and card providers add a margin.

Why does my bank give a different rate?
Banks add a spread of often 1 to 4% to the mid market rate.
Are cryptocurrencies or PKR included?
No. The ECB publishes about 30 major currencies only.
