Questions
Does it work with password protected PDFs?
No. Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked in a PDF reader first; the tool will tell you if a file is protected.
Which characters are supported?
The built in Helvetica font covers Latin letters, digits and common punctuation. Other scripts are refused with a clear message.
