    Result

    What it does

PDFs often carry the author’s full name, company and the software used. Check what a file reveals, set a proper title for search engines, or clear the fields entirely.

    How to use it

    1. Choose a PDF; its current metadata is shown.
    2. Fill in new values, or tick "clear existing".
    3. Save and download.

    Example

The example generates a small sample file in your browser and runs the tool on it. Select Try an example above to see it.

    When it helps

    • Setting the title shown in browser tabs and search results.
    • Removing personal names before publishing.
    • Checking which tool generated a document.

    Questions

Does it work with password protected PDFs?

No. Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked in a PDF reader first; the tool will tell you if a file is protected.

Does this remove all hidden data?

It clears the standard document information fields. XMP metadata streams and content inside the pages are not altered.
