What it does

Questions
How is reading time calculated?
At 238 words per minute, the average silent reading speed for adult nonfiction reported by Brysbaert (2019). Speaking time uses 140 words per minute.
Are hyphenated words one word?
Yes. "Well-known" counts as one word, matching how most word processors count.
